Bookmark and Share Support / Care Worker (Day shift)
For over 35 years, our client has provided specialist care, education and vocational services for children and adults with complex needs. They deliver the highest standards of service for the best possible outcomes.
They now look to appoint a Support Worker to support an individual who will use the services on a day basis, not residing at the School. You will plan and assist with everyday activities, giving the individual help and support to make choices and learn new skills. You will also be involved in the transportation of the individual to and from his home using a company vehicle, so a driving license would be beneficial.
To be successful in this role you will ideally have experience of providing one to one support in an educational/vocational setting. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is flexibility to travel with students and work on a Rota base. An NVQ level 3 in Health & Social care is advantageous but a willingness to work towards this is a must. This is an ideal opportunity to work positively with young people and achieve brilliant results.
Please note this role is for term time only (38 weeks of the year) and the annual leave entitlement of 28 days must be taken in non-term time. The post holder will not be required to work the remaining days of non-term time and these will be unpaid. This role is offered as a fixed term contract, the duration of which is directly dependent upon the funding for this individual.
Hours of work are:
Monday to Friday, term time only (8.30 - 4.30 Mon-Thurs, 8.30 - 4.00 Fri)
