Marketing Manager
Our client is looking for looking for Marketing Managers to join our team. The successful candidate will generate sales to UK and international customers and will execute the sales, marketing and business development functions for the Engineering sector.
Working for the Head of Marketing, the successful candidate will manage and oversee to pre-qualification questionnaires and invitations to tender submissions. They will manage and co-ordinate bid opportunities from initial interest through to completion obtaining information from key members of each department as required.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Objectively review the submissions and provide changes and improvements
- Lead bid response activities, including preparation and submission of proposals
- Ensure tender deadlines are met
- Conduct client research to aid bid submissions
- Produce project plans and support marketing managers in the production and maintenance of game plans
- Ensure costing and pricing activities are timely and accurate
- Support marketing team as required at exhibitions, conferences and stakeholder groups
- Collect market intelligence
- Provide periodic reporting to the Marketing Director
- Develop and execute market sector game-plans and opportunity capture plans
- Identify future acquisitions, establish leads and propose value propositions to meet the needs
- Establish customer requirements through close and continual relationships, using agents where needed
- Research, understand and mitigate competitor positions
- Ensure coherence with the marketing team and other companies marketing strategies
- Establish direction of self-funded development by Engineering of products/technologies to satisfy new customer requirements
- Promote capability and products at exhibitions, conferences and stakeholder groups
Knowledge, Skills and Experienced Required:
- Experienced engineering background at a senior level (Essential)
Either:
- Suitable Defence related industry
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Essential)
- Understanding of MoD procurement processes (Ideal)
Qualifications
- Bid management Qualification desirable
- Degree or similar in a relevant discipline
- Business Qualification desirable
- Engineering Qualification helpful
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required
- Foreign language skills helpful
